MISSION
The Beaurepaire Swim Team is open to all ages and abilities. The swim team provides fun and fitness in a friendly and competitive environment!
Throughout the season, all Beaurepaire swimmers have a chance to compete and be cheered on by their teammates. Competition rules do limit the number of swimmers that may partake from a Club, and the coaches at Beaurepaire strive to include everyone.
There is a limit to how many swimmers may partake in the Time Trials (often called Sections). Each pool is only allowed to field two swimmers per age group and event, and a swimmer may only compete in two individual events plus one relay. The fastest 12 swimmers for each event and age group from all A.L.P.S. clubs will get to compete in the Finals.

DIVING
LESSONS
Diving lessons are a great way to have fun and to improve your diving skills at the same time!
It is not a requirement to know a dive when joining the team – our coaches and more experienced divers will help everyone along. The goal is always to have one and all competing and having fun.
DIVING TEAM
The Beaurepaire Diving Team welcomes everyone of all ages and skill levels. Our coaches will find the right level of instruction for each person, depending on individual ability.
Beginning with the basics, each diver will learn proper diving techniques. As a diver progresses, more difficult dives are introduced. Typically, a diver is first taught a proper hurdle, when ready, basic front and back dives are encouraged.
More complex dives are taught when a diver feels ready.
The diving team competes against other A.L.P.S. pools throughout the season, in division meets. At the end of the regular season, semi-finals and finals feature eligible divers from all clubs.
There are three levels of competition:

Synchronized Swimming
LESSONS
Participants will be introduced to the fundamental sculls, basic figures and various routine components of early synchronized swimming, in addition to other disciplines aimed at improving strength, coordination and flexibility.
SYNCHRO TEAMS
Junior
This team is for girls who are 12 years and younger. Being on a junior team requires a regular time commitment each week plus extra practices around competition time. Participants are expected at all practices and will be required to inform the coach of any absence. Participants will be required to purchase a team bathing suit. The preliminary competition is usually held at the end of July or the very beginning of August while the final competition is usually held around mid August. Sometimes younger girls with advanced synchro skills have been moved up to the senior level. Ideally, there are 6-8 individuals on the team.
At the Junior level, there are also duet and solo competitions. We are allowed one solo and one duet entry in the summer competitions. Of course, an athlete who is on both the team and either the duet or solo will require an additional time commitment.
SYNCHRO TEAMS
Senior
Seniors are 13 years and up. At this level, the swimming is more intricate, elaborate, and complicated. It is physically more demanding and requires about a regular time commitment plus additional practices around competition time. Participants are expected at every practice and will be required to notify the coach of any absence.
The Senior duet and solo will be chosen based on the same criteria. Being part of the team plus a duet or solo requires an additional time commitment on behalf of the swimmer.
WATERPOLO
LESSONS
The Waterpolo program is designed to introduce the swimmer to the basic skills and strategies of waterpolo. Participants will learn the rules of the game along with proper playing techniques.
Swimmers will develop new skills, build up their endurance and further their knowledge of the sport while training for weekly games.
